In conjunction with International Women’s Day on 8 March 2015, Jamilah Samian was recognized as one of eight inspiring Malaysian women for their significant and outstanding contributions to society.
Jamilah Samian was honoured along with other exceptional Malaysian women like Datuk Nicol David (top squash player), Yuna Zarai (singer), Datuk Dr Mazlan (astrophysicist), Mejar Patricia Yapp (first female Asian MiG-29 jetfighter pilot), Tan Sri Siti Norma Yaakob (first female Chief Judge of Malaya), Mdm Ivy Josiah (Women’s Aid Organization) and Alwizah Al-yafii Kamal (Managing Director, Akal Corporate Advisors).
Jamilah was recognized for her efforts in supporting educators and parents in raising the leaders of tomorrow with her books, seminars and workshops both locally and internationally.
