Ms. Sabrina Sunderraj is a Social Anthropologist, with Masters in Anthropology from the University of Madras and the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, UK where she studied on a Commonwealth Scholarship (1997-1998). She has a BA from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, India, studied Islamic Thought at International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC-IIUM) Malaysia and has a certificate in Peace Studies from AMAN, Thailand. Sabrina Sunderraj has worked as a Research Associate at the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amman, Jordan, on its first newsletter on conflict issues facing the region, in UNICEF at the University of Madras in a field based research on maternal anemia, at the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action in their Gender Programme and on Family Waqf (Endowments) in Penang among others. She has served as a volunteer in Mother-to-Mother-Peer-Support from its inception and was active in the Make Penang Breastfeeding Friendly Campaign with the State Government of Penang. Each year her family is involved in holding the Penang Cardboard Challenge in conjunction with the Global Cardboard Challenge, by Imagination Foundation, USA, in the community and at schools. She enjoys writing and finding creative ways in learning and experiencing life with her children.
