Salaam and greetings.
The year 2014 is drawing to a close. I am writing this to thank everyone: clients, partners, friends, and family who supported Cool Mum Super Dad Academy since its inception until today.
Throughout the years, our goals have remained modest. In 2014, we did a number of programs along these lines. We had 2-day workshops at the Ministry of Health, and a 2-day “ACTPRO: Stand Up Speak Up” workshop with lecturers of Tunku Abdul Rahman College. Our partners did a 2-day entrepreneurship program for youths for SME Corp. We also did a 1-day program with premier scholars of Yayasan Khazanah, who are already enrolled in Oxford and Cambridge. We presented again to top scholars from Yayasan Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng (IOI Group).
We started engaging with students of local colleges and universities to help them gain greater confidence, to speak up when they should. As noted by senior management of a local university, a number of students gained “four flat” (CGPA 4.0), only to “fall flat” in job interviews and life after college because of their inability to speak up when they should. This should not be happening to any college or university graduate who spent a good number of years to gain a college degree.
As usual, we presented many parenting seminars and workshops at schools and NGOs. Our client list continues to grow with esteemed organisations including Bank Negara, Shell, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Bursa Malaysia, UTP, Exxon Mobil, IKRAM, PNB and many more.
On a personal note, I did a 4-series talks at Petronas on leadership for Petronita (association of women employees and wives of staff). More and more, over the years, leadership has grown to become an area of great interest to me. Too many youths out there just float around, unmotivated, uninspired, just because they don’t have a purpose in life. They fail to lead themselves, partly because parents, teachers and educators do not know how to lead them in their crucial growing up years. I am also grateful that, by the grace of God, my latest book, “The Kindness Miracle”, was published. This is a book that asserts the fact that kindness truly makes the world go round.
This year, we organised the Global Cardboard Challenge for the third consecutive year with our partners and sponsors, with Kolej Perkembangan Awal Kanak-Kanak playing a key role as our gracious host.
At Cool Mum Super Dad Academy, we are often asked how we charge. Our system is based on getting compensation from those who can afford to pay, so that our courses can also benefit those who can’t. Hence, the past year saw us restructuring our clients:
Tier 1: Corporate organisations
Tier 2: SMEs, Government bodies, private schools
Tier 3: NGOs, PTAs, government schools
Of course, the tiers are not set in stone. Equally important, it doesn’t matter to which tier you belong. We strive to underpromise and overdeliver our services. In terms of clients’ feedback, we are encouraged by the high ratings we consistently receive. Bottomline, if you are keen to do a program with us, let us know so we’ll work it out.
With that, on behalf of the team at Cool Mum Super Dad Academy, I wish to THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your kind and timely support. Let us paint a positive view of the future human landscape. Help us mould today’s youths into adults of great character whose main focus is their contribution to humanity. Help us help you to succeed.
Sincerely,
Jamilah Samian
