Are you the kind of parent who likes to plan for your kids? It’s good to plan: I want my eldest to become an engineer, my second to become a doctor, my third to become an accountant. But it’s also good to give your kids room to work towards their own passion. Perhaps your eldest child can become a good engineer but given the chance, she can succeed as a great psychologist. Maybe your second child can become a good doctor but given the opportunity, he can blaze the trail of an awesome businessman. It is possible that your third child can become a good accountant, but given the support, she can chart a journey of an inspiring broadcast journalist. Which would you prefer for your kids: to be just plain “good” … or “great” or “awesome” or “inspiring”?
